How "washable" are "washable markers"?

Thankfully, VERY washable (shout out to Crayola for creating an item that actually lives up to it's advertising)!  Josiah and I both took naps on Saturday and he woke up before I did.  I knew he was awake but chose to doze a few more minutes while he played quietly in his room.  I should have known that it was a bit TOO quiet, this is what I found when I opened his door:

"Mommy, I just drew circles on the wall and my hand"

Helping to clean the walls...which took a whopping 3 minutes
thanks to Crayola's TRULY washable markers!

All clean - crisis averted!!!

A sure sign of spring

Our magnolia tree is in full bloom!!  The smell is wonderful, we open windows whenever possible to try and enjoy it for as long as possible.  Sadly, this is a traditionally "southern" tree and the blooms only last about 2 weeks at the longest but we fully enjoy it while it lasts!

First grill out of the season

For some inexplicable reason, spring/summer decided to arrive in early March this year instead of early May.  Why?  Who knows but I'm not asking too many questions since we are all LOVING the warm sun and lack of snow and ice that so often accompanies the arrival of March.  Our first official grill out was fun and gave us a glimpse of what this summer will be like, so excited that it seems we will have a few extra weeks of this than usual!

Check out Henry's face...this is his "I'm about to poke or hit someone"

Looks like Josiah was the recipient of that one from Henry:-)
(L-R:  Miles 3 yrs, Josiah 2 yrs, Henry 2 yrs, Callan 14 mo, Quinn  5 mo)

Yay, we get to play outside!!

Dessert!!

After all that fun in the sun and sand box, it's time for a bath
Callan & Henry were the first wave in,
followed by Josiah and Miles....Quinn decided to
go home to her own bath, boys are yucky!

HUGE adventure with Grandma Cindy and Papa Gary

A few weeks ago, Josiah got to go on a "HUGE adventure" with Grandma and Papa and cousin Addison.  They all took a road trip to the cities to the Children's Museum.  Uncle Josh met them there for the fun!   Obviously, Josiah and Addie were uber-excited and walking calmly from exhibit to exhibit was not in the plan:-)  As Grandma said "Good thing there were 3 of us to keep tabs on the 2 of them!"  They all had a good time but were (adults included) ready for a nap when it was all over:-)

Josiah was feeling very participatory in story time

Look at that face, think he was having a good time??

Addie picking up a few essentials

Josiah loved to mail packages at the
mailbox....his favorite part?  "It was weely LOUD mommy!"

"We ate chicken at Old McDonald's!!"
